BUILT ONE POUR AT A TIME
A SPARK IN THE SILENCE
When the world went quiet, Ron Dillon turned his kitchen table into a makeshift workshop. Night after night, he tested waxes, wick placements, and fragrance blends — until a simple curiosity became a discipline.

MASTERING EVERY POUR
Months of trial and error sharpened his technique — learning scent throw, burn time, and the patience a good pour demands. What started as a pandemic project became a real pursuit, one candle at a time.
BRINGING LIGHT TO THE ROOM
With a small stash of supplies and an Instagram page, Ron launched his first candles — then called Max & Stella. They sold out within days, and every restock after did the same.
THE SPARK RETURNS
A move to Chicago put candle making on hold — but the question never stopped: when are you making candles again? In 2025, the answer came, with a bigger vision. The brand relaunched as Maxwell Thomas, named for Ron’s son, turning a personal outlet into a family legacy.

SOME THINGS ARE WORTH DOING THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY
Every candle is still made the way it started — small batches, hand poured, carefully crafted. Simple methods, built to last for generations.

MADE THE WAY IT STARTED
Every Maxwell Thomas candle is built on the same principles as the first one Ron ever poured.
